How it works
Copy the answer, Artifact or Project draft as plain text. Leave code blocks and tables out of the paste.
PureWrite rewrites the hedging, the tidy structure and the even rhythm Claude defaults to, and keeps your argument.
Read the built-in AI score, then add a detail or example only you would know.
Claude writes differently from ChatGPT. ChatGPT tends toward upbeat filler and summaries; Claude tends toward careful, balanced, slightly over-structured prose. Here is a paragraph in Claude's default style, written by Claude for this page, with the habits marked:
It's worth noting1 that remote work isn't simply a perk — it's a fundamental shift3 in how organizations operate. The question isn't whether remote work is good or bad, but how4 companies can implement it thoughtfully. Research suggests it can improve focus, flexibility, and wellbeing2, though results vary by role. Ultimately, the right approach likely depends on each team's unique needs and circumstances.6
Readers spot these fast, and the sixth one is the giveaway in essays: Claude rarely takes a side unless you ask it to. ChatGPT's tells are different, which is why we keep a separate ChatGPT humanizer page. Many of the words Claude leans on also appear in our list of AI words.
If you searched "Claude humanizer", you probably saw the humanizer skill by blader on GitHub. It is a free, open-source skill for Claude Code (it also works with Codex, other agents and the Claude apps) that rewrites text to remove the patterns listed in Wikipedia's Signs of AI writing guide: contrast framing, forced triads, overused AI words, decorative bold text and chatbot residue. In Claude Code you install it with /plugin marketplace add blader/humanizer.
It is genuinely good at what it sets out to do, and it is upfront about the limit. Its README says: "Getting past AI detectors is not a goal, and detectors still flag most of its output." That is the honest difference. The skill is Claude editing Claude: it removes the visible patterns a human reader notices, but the same model still chooses every word, so the statistical texture detectors measure mostly stays.
| Claude humanizer skill | PureWrite | |
|---|---|---|
| Price | Free, open source | Free to try; paid plans for long documents |
| Where it runs | Inside Claude Code, Codex or the Claude apps | In the browser, any text from any model |
| What it targets | Known stylistic patterns from a checklist | Sentence rhythm and word predictability, plus style |
| Detector check | None; its README says detectors still flag most output | Built-in AI score on every result |
| Best for | Cleaning up docs, READMEs and posts for human readers | Writing that will also be run through a detector |
Use both if you like. Run the skill for style, then paste the result here and read the score. If you would rather tune Claude with your own instructions, our AI humanizer prompts include a Claude-specific line.
Yes. Detectors score the statistics of the text, not the brand of the model, and the major ones advertise Claude detection alongside ChatGPT and Gemini. Claude's prose is often less cliched than ChatGPT's, so it can slip past a quick human read, but its even sentence rhythm and predictable word choice are the same signals GPTZero, ZeroGPT and Turnitin measure.
Each detector reacts a little differently. See how GPTZero scores text, what Turnitin shows instructors, or check your draft directly with our AI detector. PureWrite is designed to pass Turnitin, GPTZero, ZeroGPT, Originality.ai and Copyleaks, but no tool can promise a specific score.
Draft in a Project
Put your notes, sources and a sample of your own writing in a Claude Project so drafts start closer to your voice.
Ask for a position
Tell Claude which side you are arguing. It removes the both-sides conclusion before it is written.
Copy prose only
Paste paragraphs here and keep tables, code and reference lists in your document, so formatting and citations stay exactly as they were.
Humanize and recheck
Read the AI score on the result and rerun any paragraph that still reads flat.
Gemini's habits are different again: it reaches for bullet points and bold headers even when you asked for prose, and it opens paragraphs with generic transitions. The same humanizer handles it. Paste the text above, and if Gemini keeps formatting, add "continuous paragraphs only, no lists or bold text" to your prompt first.
Use it responsibly
PureWrite is for your own drafts and for AI-assisted writing your school or employer allows. Our ethical use policy explains where we draw the line, and the guide to humanizing AI text covers the edits you should make yourself.

Why trust this guide
We build both sides of this problem: a humanizer that rewrites AI text and an AI detector that scores it. That means every guide here is written by the same team that tunes the engine against the patterns AI detectors flag, so the advice reflects what actually passes today, not last year.
FAQ
To a human reader, sometimes, because Claude uses fewer cliches. To a detector, not much. Detectors measure word predictability and sentence rhythm, and Claude's output is as even and predictable as other models'. Treat Claude text as detectable unless you have checked it.
